2026 SUMMER INTERSHIPS

Are you passionate about sports and eager to make a difference while proclaiming the gospel? Sports Outreach Northwest is thrilled to offer a hands-on summer internship in Oregon, designed for individuals who want to combine their love of athletics with a heart for ministry.


As a summer intern, you will have the opportunity to participate in sports outreach programs actively, assist with youth clinics, camps, and skills training sessions, a raft trip, and engage with the local community to proclaim the message of Jesus Christ. This internship provides valuable real-world experience in sports ministry, leadership development, and outreach coordination, while also giving you a platform to grow spiritually and make a lasting impact in the lives of youth and families.

OVERVIEW

Discipleship Program: As an intern with Sports Outreach Northwest, you'll embark on a comprehensive discipleship program. Designed to deepen your understanding of effective evangelism and equip you with how to plan outreach events, this program includes guided mentorship and study to help you grow in your relationship with Christ and make a lasting impact on the community.

Sports Outreaches: Get ready to dive into the heart of outreach ministry by actively participating in a variety of sports outreaches. From clinics and camps to raft trips and skills training classes, you'll be at the forefront of hosting these outreaches alongside the Sports Outreach Northwest staff. Your role will involve planning, organizing, setting up, checking in participants, and overall running of the events, allowing you to directly engage with the community and spread the message of Jesus Christ.

Build Community: Connect with the local community by spreading the word about our events. Through outreach to local churches, Christian schools, and sports programs, you'll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, enhance your communication skills, and unleash your creativity to reach a wider audience with the gospel message.

DETAILS

  • Scholarship: A $2500 scholarship is included, making this internship accessible to passionate individuals seeking to advance the gospel.
  • Housing Provided: Enjoy the privilege of staying with a Christian host family for the duration of the summer, providing a supportive environment as you serve and enjoy your internship.
  • Internship Dates: Mark your calendars from June 1st to August 7th for a summer filled with learning, evangelism, and growing in your relationship with Christ. We understand that some students may have prior commitments, and we strive to accommodate varying schedules.
  • Transportation: Interns are required to provide their own vehicle for travel to Oregon and for outreaches and training.
  • Team Building: Embrace the spirit of camaraderie and adventure with day and overnight trips focused on planning, prayer, and bonding amidst the breathtaking beauty of the Northwest landscape.
