The SONW Board of Directors provides oversight, guidance, and prayerful support to ensure the ministry remains focused on its mission of changing lives through the medium of sports. Each member brings unique experience, wisdom, and a heart for advancing the gospel.

AREAS OF FOCUS

ERIC NYBORG

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Eric earned his bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and Pastoral Ministry from Multnomah University in Portland, Oregon. After graduating, he planted his first church with a focus on expository preaching, evangelism, and discipleship. Over the years, he has served on a missions board, counseled church planters, and held various church staff roles.

In 2011, he launched Sports Outreach Northwest with a desire to change lives through the medium of sports. He works closely with coaches, high school athletes, and youth kids, and he also enjoys coaching the SONW Red Storm basketball club teams. Eric is married to Jennifer, and together they have five children.
